David Hare

Dave Hare was born in Yorkshire
in 1951 and drifted into photography around the age of 15. He left school half
way through his A levels to attend an Institute of Incorporated Photographers
course at Leeds Technical College. When he graduated from there he went on to
work at Warren Jepson's in Leeds as a colour printer. He realised that this
was not for him and went to Medway School of Art to study Fashion and Advertising
Photography. For the next 20 or so years he worked as an advertising, still
life and corporate photographer in London.
With the advent of digital photography more avenues opened and he moved into people photography. He now shoots almost exclusively digitally, both in studio and on location. He finds the versatility and creative options stimulating. This of course links very well with his glamour and erotic work. He uses photo digital manipulation to achieve the same ends as printers aspire to in the dark room.

His aim now
is to explore these new avenues of photography, using the female form to produce
as great a variety of images as he can. Ranging from series of images of different
models in similar sets to unique studies in particular situations. Always working
with an aim in mind. The creative
options and diverse paths to be followed are a source of constant inspiration.
